Learn basics tools to begin your mindfulness practice
Educators need support now more than ever. In this short 4-week introductory course educators will be in community with each other to learn mindfulness tools to use in your life and how to bring some of these skills into your workplace and classrooms.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The power of mindfulness, an introduction to meditation, and common misconceptions about meditation

The four aspects of practice: seeing things as they are, learning to be here in the present moment, noticing how things change, and non-judging awareness.

Some benefits of meditation: understanding the nature of the mind, cultivating compassion for the thinking mind, and understanding your human experience.

Practice as a support for meeting the suffering of the world (racism, climate change, pandemic) with mindfulness, compassion, and wise response—when we see things as they are, wisdom naturally arises and it is possible to find a place of peace right inside of you and respond to what is with appropriate and compassionate action
